TR: Blew up.
CH: what?
CH: how?
CH: wait, have you even seen a guitar before? its just wood and string. theres nothing there thats supposed to blow up
CH: well metal too, but its not supposed to blow up either
TR: ...
TR: Well I didn't do that.

CH: right
CH: do you want to see what a guitar looks like?
TR: The microwave makes a humming noise when you turn it on. And the machine in the other room makes other sounds. So I stole them. And tried to figure out how to modify the sound with inputs. And then when I tried to press a button to make a sound it blew up.
TR: Yes.

CH: image.png
CH: well the one i was playing was similar to this one
TR: Hm.

CH: its basically a wood box with strings of varying thickness that make sounds when you strum them or pick them
CH: im not really good at explaining things, but theres no electricity involved in this
CH: just metal strings vibrating and making sounds
TR: Oh.
TR: That's what that meant.
TR: I don't know how to make that.

CH: it is pretty complicated but i think it would be possible to make a simplified version of it
TR: The strings make sounds. How.
TR: Do you hit them.

CH: not really, more like gently plucking them
CH: well,
CH: its kind of hard to describe the action really. if its individual strings its like lightly pulling them with one finger and letting go if its all 6 strings at the same time you strum them. which is just. i really dont know how to describe it
CH: you kind of brush over them? see i never thought id have to explain how strumming a guitar works
TR: Ok.

CH: well
CH: while you were away, i did actually find a music file on my phone
CH: an actual song this time, if youd like to hear that
TR: Yeah.

CH: hopefully it sends properly
CH: [Sam_Cooke_-_A_Change_Is_Gonna_Come.mp3]
TR: What the fuck.
TR: It sounds more like my other song.
TR: Did you do this one.

CH: oh no i didnt
CH: this was recorded in the 60s, i think
CH: it was written by sam cooke, the same guy singing it
CH: but also a lot more people were involved in actually making it
CH: yknow, the orchestra and all that
TR: No. I don't know the orchestra.
TR: This is bullshit. How many songs are there.

CH: man i dont know, millions maybe? billions?
CH: i dont think anyones ever counted
TR: Ok.
TR: That's a lot.

CH: yeah it really is
CH: it kind of makes me sad sometimes that ill never hear all of it
CH: but being able to always discover new music is an upside i think
TR: Hm.
TR: But.
TR: Ok.
